EXPOSURE
The Twisted Lit Seies
BY KIM ASKEW
AND AMY HELMES
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Double, double, toil and trouble. Sometimes, the quest for high school royalty can be deadly! In this emotionally-charged twist on Shakespeare’s Macbeth, a self-conscious shutterbug named Skye Kingston navigates a treacherous school year in Alaska fraught with unspoken secrets and tragic twists of fate. Along the way she encounters three strangely prophetic BFFs; one social-climbing, sociopathic cheerleader; and a heart-stopping hottie named Craig MacKenzie: the man who would be Prom King. Can Skye save the boy she loves — and herself — before they get caught in the crosshairs?

ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
PRAISE FOR EXPOSURE:
"This haunting novel will keep you on the edge of your seat!" --Melissa Walker, author of Unbreak My Heart
"Authors Askew and Helmes have created funny, sharp, and fast paced characters in the midst of a hair raising story you won’t be able to put down. Exposure makes you feel you as if the characters are speaking right to you and you can’t wait to hear what they say." --Ann Garvin, author of On Maggie's Watch
"Exposure is an intelligent, poignant, and riveting mash-up of Shakespearean tragedy and high school politics, which, as it turns out, have a lot in common." --Daria Snadowsky, author of Anatomy of a Boyfriend and Anatomy of a Single Girl
"Exposure clicked with me right away. I've never seen a Macbeth from the perspective of the Banquo character, much less a female Banquo... Equal parts teen drama and classic adaptation, I could definitely see this actually being a movie on par with 10 Things I Hate About You." --Caitlin Griffin, Education Administrative Assistant at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC

Macbeth is one of my favorite Shakespeare's plays so I would love to read a twisted version of it.

I followed the link from their site to the Huffington Post and read their interview. The authors are looking forward to doing King Lear and Henry IV. I wonder if they will do a Midsummer's Night Dream if that is already twistes enough.
