SHOW NO FEAR
BY MARLISS MELTON
ABOUT THE BOOK:
FEAR HAS A WAY...
Lucy Donovan always gets her man. As a fiercely independent CIA agent, she's survived hundreds of death-defying missions. But her latest may just get her killed. Weighed down with a secret she's desperate to keep, the last thing Lucy needs is to be sent undercover with a man who brings out the best--and the worst--in her.
OF GETTING YOU KILLED
Navy SEAL Gus Atwater never turns down an assignment, even if it means working with the only woman he's ever loved and lost. So with a volatile mix of desire and distrust, Lucy and Gus confront their tangled past. Pretending to be man and wife is risky enough, but now the clock is running out. As their mission escalates from desperate to deadly, will Lucy's secret expose them both?
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Having spent a life time in military and intelligence communities, it seems only natural that I should apply my pen to writing military romantic adventure novels in addition to medieval romance (by Marliss Moon). As the daughter of a foreign intelligence officer, I grew up overseas, attending American and International schools. I was considered the "creative" child, one of five. Three of my smart and talented siblings serve or have served in the highest levels of the Department of Defense, the DIA, and NAVAIR. Because of my interest in language, I became a foreign language teacher and married a U.S. Army Captain. Ten years later, following his sudden death, I published my first historical romance which became a RITA finalist for Best First Book. Then I met my soul mate: a twenty-year veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married me and adopted my two sons. Now a government contractor, my husband provides technology support for troops overseas. I pursued a Masters degree in Linguistics and now part time at the College of William and Mary. My husband and I have a combined family of six children, ranging in age from a toddler to a college freshman. I've been asked when I find time to write. My reply is that there's never enough time. I've perfected the art of writing in my sleep.

I’ve never actually been to Colombia, but I studied abroad in Ecuador which is right next door. My experience of the jungle comes from excursions with my family into northern Thailand, where we looked for tigers but never really found any—just a huge, fresh tiger track! I wonder how close that tiger was?
Hmmm not sure I'd want to go on an actual live tiger hunt

lol... Lucy's hip pain was mainly because of Marliss's hip pain...
Fun Fact #2: To research the book, I had to interview two CIA operatives familiar with Colombia and its forty-year revolution. I could tell you more, but then I’d have to kill you.

The waterfall is based on one she saw in northern Thailand when she was a kid.

How fun that she interviewed CIA operatives!

The reason Lucy’s hip caused her so much pain wasn’t necessarily because her microchip site was infected. I had just had hip surgery, and my own hip was killing me! If I had to suffer, so did Lucy

I'm currently reading a book about the history of the CIA Spy Techs and the technology they developed...including the very first digital camera. Interesting read. This sounds like a good book too. Thanks for the chance to win!

I find it interesting that she lived in Thailand, and that she along with her family looked for tigers but never found any, I wonder what they would have done if they had indeed encountered any.

"The reason Lucy’s hip caused her so much pain wasn’t necessarily because her microchip site was infected. I had just had hip surgery, and my own hip was killing me! If I had to suffer, so did Lucy!" That is too funny! I guess the old saying is true that misery loves company!
