REVIEW:
If you have ever read any of David Sedaris's books then you know how hilarious he is. However, if you haven't seen him in person, or at least HEARD him, you are in for a treat. The first book I heard him read was WHEN YOU ARE ENGULFED IN FLAMES and I would listen in my car on my way to and from work. I often stayed in the car a little longer just to get to a stopping point. I laughed out loud all by myself until tears ran down my cheeks. He has a way of reading his stories that is a special treat. This compilation is for those of us who have never been lucky enough to see him live in all his concerts and lecture tours. Even if you have, you will relive it again with just as much humor and hilarity. I think you can't pick out a favorite part but for me, one of the funniest bits he does is Laugh, Kookaburra. If you want a really fun and get your mind off your troubles, listen to his! This is a rare treat! By the way, how clever and not surprising that Sedaris even has this coming out in special edition Vinyl (a record for those of you who have no idea...the thing before CDs, MP3s, Tapes, and 8 tracks!)

I love Sedaris' audio books - no one can read his work like he can. I'm so glad this is as good as his other work. No need to enter me.

I think David Sedaris is simply brillant! I read Holidays on Ice and listened to Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim & When You Are Engulfed in Flames while sitting in the carpool lane last year at my childrens' school. I really enjoy his reading of his own books. I also purchased his sister's entertaining book and it brings me a good giggle everytime I read it!
