REVIEW:
HAPPY AT WORK, HAPPY AT HOME is a serious as well as humorously written book by two authors who have the experience to address the working mothers topic but it isn't just for working moms. It will also be helpful to women who are pregnant or who are planning on continuing their work after they have their babies. It is for the stay-at-home moms who are thinking about going back to work and really for anyone who will enjoy the stories of these two women who were challenged just like many of us are or were with our children.
This is a book for all women who enjoy their work but love their child and how they deal with the inevitable guilt a mother who works will feel. This book is SO welcome because it is one that finally celebrates and shows appreciation for working mothers. No woman should have to apologize for going back to work after having her baby, OR for staying home if that is her choice! Many personal stories are shared and the reader will laugh and nod in agreement and understanding. There are also many practical tips that mothers can apply in their own situations. From the moment you find out you are pregnant until the day you walk back into the work place, this book is a huge help. They do not sugar coat anything nor do they get overly dramatic at the challenges working moms and/or new moms face. I wish this book had been available when I was a new mom. Hopefully all the new generation of moms will benefit from a book like this and make their lives a little bit easier.
