LUMBY ON THE AIR
BY GAIL FRASER
BY GAIL FRASER
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Pam and Mark Walker are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary with a week-long family reunion and a ceremony renewing their vows. Mark breezily dismisses Pam’s misgiving about temporarily closing Montis Inn and heads off to the county fair, to try his hand at both chainsaw sculpting and sheep shearing, with chaotic--and hilarious--results. Meanwhile, Pam juggles her thrill-seeking mother, who has a new “friend with benefits,” and her non-conformist niece, who posts family secrets in her online blog . Then Mark’s brother-in-law starts broadcasting his radio talk show live from Montis Inn. His remarks disparaging small-town life cause immediate rifts, especially when he sides with a real estate developer who wants to turn Lumby into a Las Vegas version of Aspen. As the controversy pits family against family, and neighbor against neighbor, will the spirit that defines Lumby triumph once again?

It is hard to judge home many I entered but I would estimate 18-20. saubleb(at)gmail(dot)com
I would name it The Lumby Pact. saubleb(at)gmail(dot)com
This book would interest me. It concerns development of the area and the rifts that occur. saubleb(at)gmail(dot)com
This one looks really good too! I'm really interested in the part about the family secrets being posted on the blog!
stephaniet117(at)yahoo(dot)com
The art on the cover (Americana or where everything is flat, love that)and the town's name already drew me to the Lumby books. Of course, Bookin' with Bingo is the first site where I've heard of the Lumby books!
delilah0180(at)yahoo(dot)com
I think a total of 17 - 18 entries including this one!
delilah0180(at)yahoo(dot)com
The Lumby Affair!
delilah0180(at)yahoo(dot)com
I like the secrets and the mother with benefits. I think I'd like this book and the whole series
msboatgal at aol.com
I think I've answer around 18-20 questions
msboatgal at aol.com
I'd name the book Love in Lumby with a quirky love affair
msboatgal at aol.com
I think this one looks good too. She's always got someone making some sort of rift.
JHolden955(at)gmail(dot)com
I think a great title would be The Nights of Lumby. Maybe set around Halloween and and the old abbey/inn could have a bit of paranormal activity!
JHolden955(at)gmail(dot)com
If we're counting this one as well, I have 17 entries--hope one is the lucky one! Thanks so much.
JHolden955(at)gmail(dot)com
I think I will enjoy this book along with the others.
lkish77123 at gmail dot com
17 entries including this one, I believe.

All Roads Lead to Lumby.
lkish77123 at gmail dot com
It sounds like another fun story in the sequence....some zany adventures with the characters you have learned to know over the series. Think it will be good.

I think I'd call it Lumbago in Lumby. A senior softball game would be fun, with the associated problems and the kindly doctor.
mtakala1 AT yahoo DOT com
I think I have answered most of your items...but since I don't have a blog and don't tweet, I didn't do those things.
mtakala1 AT yahoo DOT com
It looks good and if like the first 4, I bet it will be...seems like it might be about a tv station or radio station and Lumby
anjamie4 AT gmail DOT com
I think there are about 17 but not sure I entered them all so should go check
anjamie4 AT gmail DOT com
I don't know...maybe Lumby or Leave It....like if you don't like how we do things here, move on?
anjamie4 AT gmail DOT com
This book interests me because the family secrets surface in this one. I think I'd like this one a lot.
bgcchs(at)yahoo(dot)com
I think I must have entered 19 or 20.
bgcchs(at)yahoo(dot)com
I'd call in A Look Back in Lumby.
bgcchs(at)yahoo(dot)com
I would love the read this book. They story has unfolded from Book 1 and I have enjoyed the reviews.
misskallie2000 at yahoo dot com
I would made it Lumby United.. or Lumby Together..
misskallie2000 at yahoo dot com
I think about 13 plus questions. 13 is my lucky number..LOL
misskallie2000 at yahoo dot com
For obvious reasons, when I read the description of the radio show, I immediately think of the News from Lake Woebegone or, even better, Tuna, Texas (if you've never seen Greater Tuna, you must rent if from Netflix!)
I'm really hoping I win this set of books because I'm definitely going to have to buy them otherwise ;-)

This book sounds great too! I think the town pulling together to fight off the big developers will be inspirational and hopefully funny as well!

These all have such clever titles. I would name the next one Love and In-laws in Lumby. A sweet young couple from two prominent but feuding families are trying to plan a wedding with meddling mothers, obnoxious wedding planners and plenty of bad luck. (I'd read it!)
5wrights1[at]verizon[dot]net
I didn't keep track of how many entries but I'm guessing 18-20.
5wrights1[at]verizon[dot]net
Does anyone else think the covers remind them of Jan Karon's Mitford series? Just curious....

Ok, in the Promise Of Lumby, I think that the focus on the vet and his impending retirement definitely hit home with me. I'm from a small town in Oklahoma. We grew up with one vet, and we were really worried what would happen when he finally retired (thankfully, both of his children became vets and took over the family practice!). However, I can see, with all the empty nest syndrome baby boomers with their beloved pets, how they would be as traumatised as if their own doctor stopped practicing medicine.
Besides, I'm a real James Herriot fan and a full time animal mom to four cats. This sounds like a "must read" series!

The fifth book sounds interesting. Whenever you get big city family coming into a small town for a get together or reunion, you just know there is going to conflicts and problems!
Thanks,
candc320@gmail.com
I think I have entered them all, but I will go with 20 to be safe!
Thanks,
candc320@gmail.com
I would call it Lumby 2.0. Have a electronics company buy some land and want to come in and upgrade the town of Lumby "for the better"!
Thanks,
candc320@gmail.com
I think like all the others it will be a comical mix of small town life butting up against the city.
thank you

So ar I think I have 22 I owe you a tweet
thank you

Hmmm,
Lumby Stands its Grounds
heh
They could find they can grow coffee at the Abbey
heh
thank you

I love the idea of someone entering both the chainsaw carving and sheep shearing contests. You just know how badly one of those is going to turn out. As for a mother who has a "friend with benefits", I'm sure I'm ready to go there ever!
