WELCOME GRANDSON! GIVEAWAY

Photobucket

WELCOME TO MY
FIRST GRAND CHILD!
BORN APRIL 16, 2010
GIVEAWAY ENDED
GUESS HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU

Author, Sam McBratney
Illustrated by Anita Jeram

ABOUT THE BOOK:

FOR: Ages: 3-8

Guess how much I love you. How about right up to the moon and back? This gentle story of love without limits has enchanted millions of readers. Young children love to cuddle up to Big and Little Nutbrown Hare--and will leap at the chance to express how much they love someone special.

MY REVIEW:

One of the most treasured childhood stories that has meant so much to so many children around the world is Sam McBratney’s GUESS HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU? It is a perfect book to read at bedtime, even to very young children. If your child also happens to like bunnies, as most children do, then they will love this even more. The illustrations by Anita Jeram are lovely and look like gentle watercolor paintings.

The story itself is very touching as Little Nutbrown Hare tries to express to Big Nutbrown Hare how much he loves him. But every time Little Nutbrown Hare states an example, Big Nutbrown Hare can top it. In a way, it almost becomes competitive but it is such a gentle tale that I can’t imagine any little one taking it that way. It is the kind of heartwarming bedtime story your child will want to hear over and over again. If you are able to get the special issue with the animated story time DVD that is included, your child will enjoy that as well. However, do remember that nothing can replace a parent reading a good, loving story like this one to their child, especially at bedtime! When Big Nutbrown Hare says at the end “I love you right up to the moon and back”, that’s time for the goodnight kiss and a peaceful night for your little one!

Oh, Karen, I am so glad to hear your new bundle of joy has arrived. You must be over the moon! Children are so special but grandchildren . . . well, there are almost no words for the wonder and love you feel in your heart. Enjoy your visit with your son, d-i-l- and newest member of the family.
No need to enter me in the drawing as my grandchildren are in their teens. I just wanted to say congrats to the new family and let you know how thrilled I am for you.

I have a young son so don't have any grandchildren, but speaking for my mom she absolutely loves to spoil my son rotten and then send him home to mom and dad! Congratulations! My advice is to get a webcam if you don't have one and don't live close. My parents get to see my kids almost daily via the webcam even though we live 600 miles away.

Congratulations Karen!

I have 2 grandchildren that are toddlers. They grow up too fast.

You can never love them enough or hold them enough. You can never sing to them enough - they don't care how you sound. You can never read to them enough.

Congrats Karen! Although I'm not a grandma, I'm a mom and I say keep plenty of baby wipes on hand...even when the kids get older. Not only are they great for changing diapers and cleaning messy faces and hands, they are also great at cleaning up spills on carpet and preventing staining. Sometimes they will even take a carpet stain out, depending on what it is.

No need to enter me, as we already own this book! Enjoy the new baby! =O)

First of all congratulations Karen! How exciting for you! I do not have grandchildren yet, but my son is dating a girl who has a daughter from a previous relationship. He started dating her when Gracie was 6 months old and she's now almost 3 so I almost feel like her grandmother. She is so precious! Advice? Read to her lots, and take lots of pictures- they grow so fast!
