I am always interested in stories based in New Orleans because there is a direct relationship between the French-speaking people of New Orleans and the area where I grew up in Canada. As you know, French-speaking New Orleaners are descendants of French people evicted from Nova Scotia, Canada, many years ago.

I think it's timely that this novel is set in New Orleans 60 years ago. Sadly, so much has changed but I'd love to read about this era. BTW, I love the cover!
