Joy Fielding says that it is harder to come up with what the characters do for a living, because as a writer, she doesn't always have a very clear idea what other people actually do.

I went to the author's website and looked through her books. I know this author's name but cannot find a book of hers listed that I have read (strange). I would LOVE to read The Other Woman, however, because it sounds like such a juicy and interesting topic.

I love reading three of the columns in the Dallas paper by women. One of the women discussed her neighbor complaining about her dogs. I wonder what the neighbor did that after every one reading her column knows about his complaint! So, I am very interested in this book! Please enter me.

I've always loved writing and found that it came relatively easily to me. I sent my first story off to a magazine when I was eight years old. The magazine was Jack and Jill, and the story was rejected.
What a cute story glad she didn't give up!

After I graduated in 1966, with a BA in English literature, I went into acting full-time, eventually moving to Los Angeles, where I acted in an episode of Gunsmoke and got to kiss Elvis Presley.
