RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT! ENTER IF YOU DARE! A YEARBOOK OF THE WEIRD! REVIEW

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Ripley Publishing has launched the new annual in its bestselling series entitled Ripley's Believe It or Not! Enter If You Dare.

The book contains a brand new collection of strange stories from around the globe. The cover has eye-catching purple and silver holographic foil with a central lenticular that shows sliding doors opening and closing to reveal a spellbound reader.

This book is great for the whole family who will love the mind-boggling array of incredible and bizarre facts, stories, interviews and features. New highlights this year include "Ripley's Revealed" features that give a behind-the-scenes look at subjects such as fire-eating and swordswallowing. Fascinating interviews with extraordinary people explore why they do what they do, while "Ripley Research" boxes explain the science behind some of the most incredible tales in the book.

Enter If You Dare also includes a dramatic double foldout section that throws light on the shady world of vampires, and two single foldouts— one a tribute to the Coney Island sideshows, and the other a lifesize photo of tiny teenager Jyoti Amge who stands just 23½ inches tall. With something strange to entertain and shock everyone, this new book, Enter If You Dare, is destined to be another great Ripley success.

MY REVIEW:

If it is possible, this year's edition of Ripley's Believe It or NOT! Enter If You Dare! is better than ever. I always think I have seen it all and then each year more new, interesting, and yes, sometimes, bizarre or gross but fascinating, comes along. I wanted to put some of the pictures above for you to see samples of what is inside this amazing book.

As a former upper elementary and middle school teacher, I can tell you that this book was the most popular in the class. I would let the children look through books in my class library when they had special time or waiting for the bell, etc, and this book would gather a group around it and honestly keep them quiet as they discovered more and more interesting things. The articles that are written are spot on with research and details. I would strongly recommend this for anyone from ages 6 (with a little supervision) up. My husband loves looking at it and so do I so it is not just for children. It also makes a wonderful gift for all ages.

All my life we have spent time in Myrtle Beach and one of our favorites places to go was "Ripley's Believe it or Not" at the pavilion. So I'd love a chance at this book.
