I think this would be great to read for the holiday season because it would be so apt, and would probably inspire me to bake gingerbread! (always a good thing, if you ask me!)

This book has three very talented authors. I haven’t read any of Joanne Fluke’s novels, but when I did some research I found out that she has been a prolific writer. Joanne’s Hannah Swensen series of books started in 2000 and with the Gingerbread Cookie Murder completed the series has fourteen books all with a special tantalizing food in the title. I am now hungry … not only for some of the food that is part of the title of each of these books, but also hungry to give this author a read. I wonder if the series builds on itself where one should start reading from the first or does each book stand alone.
The second author Laura Levine sitcom writing credits are very interesting … I grew up watching many of them and found them to be absolutely hilarious.
The third author Leslie Meir also has many books to her credit. She stated on her web site that her professor at Bridgewater State College suggested that one of her papers was good enough to be published so she sent it off to Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine and she got $100.00 for the story and she stated that she has been writing ever since.
Now for the reason I would like to read this book. If the above credits aren’t enough to bring anyone to wanting to read this book then I doubt the person really likes to read mystery novels. I love mystery … I love food … enough said! I drop my name in your hat along with your other readers. I now will let fate take its course while I eat a warm “Gingerbread Cookie” and drink a tall glass of cold milk.

Who wouldn't like gingerbread with a little mystery? I have read other adventures of Hannah Swensen and would love to catch up. The other books sound great, too. Thanks for the chance.

OMG Joanne Fluke has had various jobs while pursuing her writing career. A public school teache, a short order cook, a private detective's assistant to name a few.

I am like a little kid when it comes to cozies! I love, love, love them. So I was very happy to see a contest for a Christmas cozy today. Jumping up and down happy! Also, I once tried out a recipe for Martha Washington's gingerbread. I was thrilled to eat something that was served by her and it turned out great, it did have lots of ginger in it but it was great. Wish that I could share it with all of you.
So three loves together, Christmas, cozies and gingerbread!

Next, I went to Leslie Meier's site and directly to her "about the author". She said that her editor doesn't seem to want her main character, Lucy Stone, to age. She, however is "dying to write" 'Menopause is Murder'!

Thanks for another great giveaway! I think this would be a good mystery to read because it's an anthology by three prolific mystery writers. I'm particularly a huge fan of Ms. Fluke's alter ego Hannah Swenson and enjoy the recipes that can be found in each book.

I learned that Ms. Fluke is writing a cookbook to include all of the published recipes from her books. Can't wait to get my hands on that one!
