ABOUT THE BOOKS:
WHEN CHRISTMAS COMES (HARDBACK)
Trading houses. Trading towns. Trading Christmas!
Emily Springer widowed mother of one, decides to leave her hometown of Leavenworth, Washington, to spend Christmas with her daughter in Boston.
Charles Brewster, history professor, seasoned curmudgeon and resident of Boston, wants to avoid Christmas altogether.
Through an Internet site, they arrange to swap houses for the holiday. So Emily goes to Boston--and discovers that her daughter has gone to Florida. And Charles arrives in Leavenworth to discover a town that looks like Santa's village, full of Christmas trees, Christmas music and elves.
Meanwhile, Emily's friend Faith Kerrigan travels to Leavenworth to visit her--and finds Charles the grouch. . .whose brother, Ray, shows up at Charles's place, to find Emily living there.
Through all the mix-ups and misunderstandings, amid the chaos and confusion, romance begins to emerge in unexpected ways. Because when Christmas comes, so does love. . .
THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS (HARDBACK)
What would make your Christmas perfect?
For Cassie Beaumont, it’s meeting her perfect match. Cassie, at thirty-three, wants a husband and kids, and so far, nothing’s worked. Not blind dates, not the Internet and certainly not leaving love to chance. What’s left? A professional matchmaker. He’s Simon Dodson, and he’s very choosy about the clients he takes on. Cassie finds Simon a difficult, acerbic know-it-all, and she’s astonished when he accepts her as a client.
Claiming he has her perfect mate in mind, Simon assigns her three tasks to complete before she meets him. Three tasks that are all about Christmas: being a charity bell ringer, dressing up as Santa’s elf at a children’s party and preparing a traditional turkey dinner for her neighbors (whom she happens to dislike). Despite a number of comical mishaps, Cassie does it all—and she’s finally ready to meet her match. But just like the perfect Christmas gift, he turns out to be a wonderful surprise!

ANGELS AT CHRISTMAS: Contains TWO stories from DEBBIE! (PAPERBACK)
THOSE CHRISTMAS ANGELS
Shirley, Goodness and Mercy, three well - intentioned angels who are occasionally allowed to intervene (or interfere!) in human affairs, are sent to Seattle to answer a new prayer request. Ann Fletcher prays for a special woman to be sent into her son's life, for Roy is becoming a bitter, career - obsessed man who needs to discover what really matters.
The angels swoop down and find a way to throw Julie Wilcoff in his path - literally! From that moment on, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy shall follow them. . .whispering suggestions, arranging encounters, hoping for the best.
WHERE ANGELS GO
Christmas is a time for angels.
Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are back! These three irresistible angels love their assignments on Earth. They especially love helping people who send prayer requests to heaven (even though the Archangel Gabriel, their boss, knows they’re going to break his rules)!
This Christmas, Mercy is assigned to bring peace of mind to an elderly man . . . who discovers an unexpected answer to his prayer. Goodness is sent to oversee the love life of a young woman afraid to risk commitment a second time. And Shirley has the task of granting a little boy’s fondest Christmas wish.
Shirley, Goodness and Mercy go wherever they’re needed. These three charming angels often find themselves in trouble, but somehow things always work out for the best—especially at Christmas.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
With more than 130 million copies of her books in print, Debbie Macomber is one of the world’s most popular authors. The #1 New York Times bestselling author is best known for her ability to create compelling characters and bring their stories to life in her books. Drawing on her own experiences and observations, Debbie writes heartwarming tales about small-town life, home and family, enduring friendships and women who knit. Every book features the delightful sense of humor for which readers clamor. Not bad for a woman who is dyslexic and didn’t learn to read until she was in the fifth grade.
Her dyslexia did not deter the young mother of four from pursuing a lifelong dream of becoming published. She celebrated her first sale in 1982 when Silhouette Books acquired her manuscript, Heartsong. The book became the first category romance ever to be reviewed by Publishers Weekly. She was soon featured in Newsweek—and demand for her books quickly exceeded her wildest dreams. Now Debbie maintains a list of more than 130,000 readers, with whom she regularly corresponds.
Debbie is a regular resident on the bestseller lists. Two of her novels have scored the #1 slot on the New York Times, USA Today and Publishers Weekly lists the first week on sale. She is the first-ever recipient of the“readers’ choice” Quill Award for Romance Fiction for 44 Cranberry Point, the fourth book in her highly popular Cedar Cove series. Debbie has also been honored with a RITA® for her 2005 holiday hardcover, The Christmas Basket; an RT Book Reviews Career Achievement Award and is a multiple winner of both the Holt Medallion and the B. Dalton Award. In July 2010, the Romance Writers of America presented Debbie with its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
AND to read more about Debbie Macomber, go HERE.
MY THOUGHTS:
Being only human, but also loving holiday stories and Debbie's writing, I have read just two of the books and am working on ANGELS AT CHRISTMAS. I won't repeat the synopsis of the stories as you can read that above. What I will say about all these holiday books of Debbie Macomber's is that you won't be disappointed. If ever you need a way to get yourself into the holiday spirit, these would be the books to do it with. Debbie gives you a realistic story, if you take into account the magic of Christmas, which I do, and allows the reader to enter the world of that she has created. The characters are all well fleshed out and thus make you care about each of them. When that happens, it is easy to see why the book is hard to put down as you want to see what happens to them. With her trademark sense of humor and style of writing, I can't think of a better way to kick off the holiday season than with something from Debbie. Be sure and also watch for my review of her newest book coming up next week. It is a very special holiday story...so special it has been made into a movie! More to come on that soon.

Of the three books, I would pick 'The Perfect Christmas'. I would like to compare my experience with a matchmaker to the main character of the book. My matchmaker was not chosen either by myself or my husband. He just wanted to pair up people. I know I will enjoy this book.

I have read several readers’ reviews of this book and a very high percentage of them give this book outstanding praise so I would have to choose this book from the three in your review as the one I would read first. Thanks for hosting this review and giveaway. BTW – Christmas is just around corner!

I would choose "When Christmas Comes" because I love that mom, Emily is going to spend Christmas with her daughter but she ends up alone which saddens me so I want to know what happens to her for Christmas. I also love and the idea of swapping houses sight unseen with a stranger intrigues me. I always wonder what each person will think of the house they are staying in and if the swappers will become friends. It seems there's no way you wouldn't get to know the person whose house you are staying in because it's their house!

I would like to read Christmas Angels and it's two stories. Thank you!
I love her book Twenty Wishes. I have recommended it to a ton of people. Thanks again!
When Christmas Comes would be my choice as part of the setting is Boston. Sounds good to me, Tootsie!

I love the idea of a perfect Christmas...who doesn't?! I would most want to read The Perfect Christmas. I love that Debbie writes so many holiday books.

I did not know that Debbie was dyslexic. She has overcome a lot to write so many books!

I think it's amazing that Debbie was able to write with four children as well as overcoming dyslexia.

I'd be interested in "When Christmas Comes" - reminds me of the movie "The Holiday"

I think you did a great job of capturing the charm of Debbie Macomber's novels. They're the perfect read if I need a pick-me-up!
If I had to choose one, it would be When Christmas Comes.
I visited Debbie Macomber's site and I find it interesting that she has over 130 million copies of her books in print! I can't believe I only recently discovered her.
I already follow your blog via GFC. Thank you!
I would choose When Christmas Comes. It sounds intriguing with the comment about all the mix-ups and confusion.
I love the Blossom Street and Cedar Cove series. It is always so much fun to read the new one and see what characters she is going to highlight and the continuing saga of the others. She makes them seem so real.
I'd like to read Perfect Christmas
