I AM EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THIS FRIDAY'S
"ARE YOU LISTENING? DAY"
AUDIO BOOK CHOICE IS.....

 GIVEAWAY ENDED
ENTICE
THE AUDIO BOOK
BY CARRIE JONES

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Zara and Nick are soul mates, meant to be together forever. But that's not quite how things have worked out.

For starters, well, Nick is dead. Supposedly, he's been taken to a mythic place for warriors known as Valhalla, so Zara and her friends might be able to get him back. But it's taking time, and meanwhile a group of evil pixies is devastating Bedford, with more teens going missing every day. An all-out war seems imminent, and the good guys need all the warriors they can find. But how to get to Valhalla?

And even if Zara and her friends discover the way, there's that other small problem: Zara's been pixie kissed. When she finds Nick, will he even want to go with her? Especially since she hasn't just turned... She's Astley's queen.

This author has won an number of awards for writing and that in it self speaks volumes about her writing. I found the review of this book to really be enticing with all the fantasy that is described and I am sure that this would be a great audio-book; however, this type of genre is not one of my favorite, so if my name is picked please pass along to your next PIXIE. I wanted to comment about Brilliance Audio the publisher of this audio book. This publisher is largest publisher of audio-books in the world and I have numerous audio-books that have been published by them. I have found the quality is absolutely top notch. Secondly, Julia Whelan is the narrator of this book and I found out that not has she narrated many books she has also acted in many movies. I haven't listened to any of her narrations, but I did stop off at audible audio books and listen to an excerpt of one of her narrations and I found it to be excellent ... clearly pronounced words and great tone quality with just the right emphasis to drag the reader into the story.

Well, as Steve Capell says, this is not a genre that I usually read,
fantasy. I lean more historical or more reality based book. But one of my favorite books is "The Little Prince' so I would enter and see what happens.

I looked at the covers of the author's book and was immediately drawn to 'Tips on Having a Gay Ex-Boyfriend'. I listened to the author's reading from the book and found it so senstive and moving that I added it to my TBR list.

Soul mates and their stories...That's exactly the fast read I'm looking for. And to listen to it on tape, well, an added luxury. Thanks for the possibility.

I haven't read any of Carrie's books yet but her titles are quite catchy. I'd like to read Captivate.
