MONDAY DOUBLE GIVEAWAY: LITTLE PINK SLIPS and THE BEACH HOUSE

LITTLE PINK SLIPS         THE BEACH HOUSE
BY SALLY KASLOW       BY GEORGIA BOCKOVEN
GIVEAWAY ENDED
ABOUT THE BOOKS
LITTLE PINK SLIPS:
“This year’s The Devil Wears Prada” (New York Post)— from a former magazine publishing insider.

Inspired by her own experiences behind the scenes, Sally Koslow wryly “pokes at corporate greed, celeb worship, and the search for Mr. Right” (People)

At 37, Magnolia Gold (nee Maggie Goldfarb of Fargo, North Dakota) is the youngest editor-inchief ever to wield a red pen at Lady magazine. And with her loyal staff, parties, and Manolos, she no longer feels out of place.

Enter Bebe Blake, loudmouth television personality and Fashion Don’t. To Magnolia’s horror, her boss has not only given her job to Bebe, he’s also turning Lady into Bebe. And Magnolia will be relegated to a roach-infested back office. Now she’ll just have to watch as her beloved mag turns rag. With Bebe all over the cover. In bike shorts…

*************
THE BEACH HOUSE:
The beach house is a peaceful haven, a place to escape everyday problems. Here, three families find their feelings intensified and their lives transformed each summer.

When thirty-year-old Julia, mourning the death of her husband, decides to sell the Santa Cruz beach house they owned together, she sets in motion a final summer that will change the lives of all the families who rent it year after year. Teenaged Chris discovers the bittersweet joy of first love. Maggie and Joe, married sixty-five years, courageously face a separation that even their devotion cannot prevent. The married woman Peter yearns for suddenly comes within his reach. And Julia ultimately finds the strength to rebuild her life—something she once thought impossible.

With equal measures of heartbreak and happiness, bestselling author Georgia Bockoven's unforgettable novel tells of the beauty of life and the power of love, and speaks to every woman who has ever clung to a child or loved a man
