PRESENTS!
INCARCERON
SAPPHIQUE
Award winning series by Catherine Fisher, INCARCERON and SAPPHIQUE have garnered many rewards for the past year including: School Library Journal Best Book of 2010, Horn Book’s Fanfare: Choice for the Best Books of 2010, Kirkus 2010 Best Book for Children and Teens, Publisher’s Weekly Best Children’s Book of 2010. Released in December and January, this set makes a great gift for teens or read it yourself. You won't be disappointed!
ABOUT INCARCERON:
A thrilling, high-concept fantasy for fans of Garth Nix and Nancy Farmer.

Incarceron is a prison so vast that it contains not only cells, but also metal forests, dilapidated cities, and vast wilderness. Finn, a seventeen-year-old prisoner, has no memory of his childhood and is sure that he came from Outside Incarceron. Very few prisoners believe that there is an Outside, however, which makes escape seems impossible.

And then Finn finds a crystal key that allows him to communicate with a girl named Claudia. She claims to live Outside- she is the daughter of the Warden of Incarceron, and doomed to an arranged marriage. Finn is determined to escape the prison, and Claudia believes she can help him. But they don't realize that there is more to Incarceron than meets the eye. Escape will take their greatest courage and cost more than they know.
NEWS FLASH FOR INCARCERON:
TAYLOR LAUTNER TO PLAY FINN
Posted on: Thursday, December 16, 2010

From Author Catherine Fisher and her website: "I'm sure a lot of you will have seen the announcement in the film press that Talyor Lautner, who shot to fame in Twilight, has signed up to play Finn in Incarceron. It's very exciting news, and I'm very pleased. I have no idea who the rest of the cast may be, but it's still early days yet, and as far as I know no director has been chosen."

ABOUT SAPPHIQUE:
Finn has escaped from the terrible living Prison of Incarceron, but its memory torments him, because his brother Keiro is still inside. Outside, Claudia insists he must be king, but Finn doubts even his own identity. Is he the lost prince Giles? Or are his memories no more than another construct of his imprisonment? And can you be free if your friends are still captive? Can you be free if your world is frozen in time? Can you be free if you don't even know who you are? Inside Incarceron, has the crazy sorcerer Rix really found the Glove of Sapphique, the only man the Prison ever loved. Sapphique, whose image fires Incarceron with the desire to escape its own nature. If Keiro steals the glove, will he bring destruction to the world? Inside. Outside. All seeking freedom. Like Sapphique.

+1 - From the description, I think I would like INCARCERON more (at least at first) because it sounds like there is a quite a world within those pages and in order to develop a sense of the fantasy land created, one must start at the beginning (plus it would help make more sense of what is happening in book two...). ^_^

Thanks for the chance! Happy reading...

I would of course want to read Incarceron first, so I could get to know the characters from the beginning. The concept of the book sounds very intriguing to me and I always seem to love the best of "teen" books. I feel like they can be great for people of all ages.

Ooohh this looks really good! I think I might like Incarceron more, just because I usually like the 1st book in the series best. This book kind of reminds me of The Forest of Hands and Teeth, which I loved, so I am really excited to read this.
