311 PELICAN COURT: A DEBBIE MACOMBER GIVEAWAY

GIVEAWAY ENDED
311 PELICAN COURT
A Cedar Cove Novel
BY DEBBIE MACOMBER
Welcome to Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove, Washington!
Cedar Cove is loosely based on Debbie's hometown of Port Orchard, Washington, situated on the Kitsap Peninsula. For all things Cedar Cove, visit the new website devoted entirely to the series and the town: CedarCoveSeries.com
There is even a map of Cedar Cove:
ABOUT THE BOOK:
(from the back of the book)
Dear Reader,

One thing about Cedar Cove—people sure are interested in what other people are doing. Take me, for instance. Everybody in this town knows that my husband, Zach, and I recently got a divorce. Everybody also knows that Judge Olivia Lockhart decreed a pretty unusual custody arrangement. It won't be the kids moving between my place and Zach's. We're the ones who'll be going back and forth!

Olivia isn't immune to gossip herself. Will she stay with Jack, the guy who runs our local paper, or will she get back with her ex? Inquiring minds want to know!

But the really big gossip has to do with the dead guy—the man who died at a local bed-and-breakfast. Who is he and why did he show up there in the middle of the night? Roy McAfee, our local private investigator, is absolutely determined to find out. I hope he does—and then I'll fill you in! See you soon….

PRAISE FOR 311 PELICAN COURT:
"311 Pelican Court is the most exciting book [in the series]; the writing is sharp and the suspense taut. The pages turn quickly as the story heats up for the next installment.  311 Pelican Court is a feel-good book, filled with plenty of small town coziness, romance, and a thread of mystery."

This sounds like another good mystery. I would enjoy reading about how they find out about the murdered man at the bed and breakfast.

With millions and millions of her books in print and several of her books made into TV dramas how could anyone not want to read another Debbie Macomber's novel. I am dropping my name into your hat and hoping for the best.

I read her whole Blossum Street series and one of the Cedar Cove ones so I know that she is a great writer. I especially like it when her main character has a major problem to deal with like cancer or how to get along with her sister. Love all the references to cooking and baking.

Didn't know that she reads everything that her readers write her before. Maybe I could suggest a few situations to her!

The one Cedar Cove book that I have read was 16 Lighthouse Rd. The one published in 2001. I didn't recognize the new cover. I remember Olivia the Judge and how she refused to grant the divorce to the young couple. They had gotten married quickly and were actually strangers by the time Ian returned. She had had a baby and it died and she went through grievin for the baby while was at sea. Ian's commanding officer decided to delay the news so Ian didn't respond until the end of the tour. She could not forgive him and that was the reason for the request for the divorce. Great story.

Well, well, plenty of "interesting" going on there. First of all, I love the premise of the unique custody arrangement of the main protagonist - that is bound to make for some interesting situations! Also, Roy McAfee is determined to solve this murder mystery - but I wonder if in his search for the killer, and Rosie's search for gossip...will they come together? It's just a theory - I wonder if it will pan out! :)

Thank you so much for hosting this amazing giveaway!

Upon visiting Debbie Macomber's website, the slogan "Wherever you are, Debbie takes you home..." most certainly rings true. Even in the various instructions and notices to the reader, it seems like Debbie is directly engaging in dialogue with you, which makes it extremely welcoming. I also love all the recipes that Debbie has on her wonderful website. The recipes, and the knitting club patterns - the whole website is indicative of what reading her books would be like; like spending a warm, cozy day knitting and baking with your best friend in some coastal town with beautiful sunsets. I think Debbie just found her a new fan! :)
