ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Ridley Pearson is the #1 nationally bestselling author of a dozen YA novels and picture books, including the Peter and the Starcatchers series, the Neverland Books, and Science Fair, all co-written with Pulitzer Prize winning humorist, Dave Barry.

Ridley is also the author of The Kingdom Keepers, and Steel Trapp series. Ridley began writing at the age of ten when he taught himself to touch type and found himself with nothing to type. Following college, he toured the country for nearly a decade in an acoustic folk rock band for which Ridley wrote many of the songs. Ridley now plays bass guitar in an all-author rock band: The Rockbottom Remainders.

In his free time (there isn't much these days!) he enjoys recreational tree climbing, snowboarding, tennis, and backyard volleyball.

He and his wife, Marcelle, have two daughters, Paige and Storey. (That's right: page and story.) The family divides its time between the Midwest and the Northern Rockies.
