THE WEDDING SHAWL: MY ANNIVERSARY GIVEAWAY

GIVEAWAY ENDED
THE WEDDING SHAWL
A Seaside Knitters Mystery
BY SALLY GOLDENBAUM

In honor of our 38th Wedding Anniversary today, I wanted a wedding book for my followers and think this cozy mystery is it!
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Readers can't help but get entangled in this national bestselling series...

The unsolved murder of a local girl fuels the plot in the latest Seaside Knitters mystery. Excellent characters and setting transport readers into the daily life of Sea Harbor, where readers can almost smell the sea air as they uncover clues alongside the savvy group of knitters. Good plotting and logical sleuthing propel the story forward to an eye-opening conclusion that points at one of Sea Harbor’s most popular residents.

It’s summertime in Sea Harbor, Mass., and Nell, along with the rest of the Seaside Knitters, is knitting a beautiful wedding shawl for Izzy Chambers’ upcoming nuptials. Aunt Nell is working hard to prepare her backyard for Izzy’s big occasion and has hired a gardener, Claire, who has ties to a young girl’s drowning 15 years earlier at the Markham quarry. When a local hairdresser is murdered in Sea Harbor, and it is uncovered that she was the dead girl’s best friend years ago, Nell wonders why Claire has returned to Sea Harbor. Did she come to bury the past? Or did she return seeking revenge?

All the Seaside Knitters really know is they must rally to find some answers, so Izzy can don the wedding shawl they're surprising her with- and replace the whispers about town with wedding bells.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
I am quite inept at writing about my life--it's been a very nice one so far, but in the repeating it may sound a bit tedious. So I will hit the highlights and offer you a very speedy read.

I was born in Manitowoc, Wisc, a small city on the shores of Lake Michigan where my father was a shipbuilder. We spent summers baking on Lake Michigan (before the days of sun alerts) and enjoyed the perks that growing up in a small town provides. I went to high school in Green Bay, Wisc, a boarder in an all-girls academy, just like my sister, mother and her seven sisters before her had done.

College was Fontbonne in St. Louis, and graduate school (philosophy) was Indiana U in Bloomington where I met my husband. In between all of that I was a Catholic nun for several years. A checkered past, to be sure. To read more on Sally Goldenbaum, go to her bio on her website HERE.

Bingo (a.k.a Karen) and Hubby congrats on 38 years -- you guys are helping push up the national average for the length of marriage -- statistics show that the average marriage only lasts for twenty four years. So strike up the band and lift up the wine and celebrate your special day in style!

I agree with Debbie -- I love reading cozy mysteries as well. I love the the cover of this book. I also found it interesting that this author was a nun at one point in her life.

Thanks for the opportunity.

You don't have to enter me in the giveaway, I just wanted to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!! Wow, 38 years that is quite an accomplishment! I know how much work being married for 7 1/2 years has been, so you should be extremely proud of all you have accomplished :)! I hope you both do something really special and fun (and romantic...hubba hubba :))!

Dear Karen,

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! I am so very sorry for wishing you so late! I really apologize, please accept my apology. That being said, wow...38 years is...beyond amazing. In this day and age, a marriage with longevity like that is something to aspire towards.

I love cozy mysteries, and I find that this one will be especially interesting. Also, I absolutely love the cover of the book - there is something so beautiful about it.

I love that almost all the cozy mystery writers tend to have recipes and weaving or knitting patterns on their sites, which makes me love their work that much more because it makes it multi-dimensional. I am definitely going to try my hand at the "Lobster & Scallop Sauce over Linguine" recipe from Sally Goldenbaum's website! :D
