THE TALE OF CASTLE COTTAGE - PREVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

GIVEAWAY ENDEDTHE TALE OF CASTLE COTTAGE
The Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter
BY SUSAN WITTIG ALBERT

ABOUT THE BOOK:
The latest in the Cottage Tales series-starring Miss Potter herself!

It's the heart of summer in 1913, and Beatrix is eager to marry her fiancé, solicitor William Heelis. But there are a few obstacles blocking the happy couple's path to the altar, like the troubled remodeling of Castle Cottage—Will and Beatrix's future home. The final book in this unique eight-book series.

PRAISE FOR THE TALE OF CASTLE COTTAGE:
"Charming...Albert does a fine job of recreating the wistful, nostalgic mood of Potter's children's books."
—Publishers Weekly

"Because you are fond of fairy-tales...I have made you a story all for yourself, a new one that nobody has read before."
—Miss Beatrix Potter

"Whimsical, fanciful and magical...a precious tale."
—Genre Go Round Reviews

"Albert successfully conveys the atmosphere of Potter's own writing and pictures...The reader is plunged into a magical yet real world of people with problems and animals with common sense. This is the first of a series. Bring on the rest!"
—Janet Overmyer, www.Iloveamysterynewsletter.com

"An exceptional mystery novel where we not only get to see some puzzles solved, but we also meet some wonderfully rich and vibrant characters. The reader also gets a wonderful picture of English village life and a tantalizing look into the heart and soul of one of the world's most famous children's book writers."
—The Looking Glass Review

"...This is a book for all ages, but it seems to fit the bill perfectly for middle-schoolers who are looking for mysteries and like animal stories...Beatrix is not only an author and illustrator, she is a first-rate sleuth. We bet this series will appeal to you and your middle-school mystery fan."
—The Detroit Free Press

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Susan fell in love with Beatrix Potter's books when she was a child and has never forgotten the joy of reading the stories and imagining the lives of the animals beyond Miss Potter's pictures.

After careers as a mother, a college professor, and a university administratory, Susan went on to become the best-selling author of many books for young people and mysteries for adults.

"I love working with the life of Beatrix Potter," Susan says. "She was a remarkable woman who patiently worked against adversity to create exactly the kind of life she wanted for herself. A gifted storyteller and artist, a determined countrywoman who helped to preserve the natural beauty of the Lake District for generations to come, Beatrix Potter is a woman we can all admire."

The Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter are Susan's special tribute to Miss Potter, whose delightful stories and charming pictures continue to bring joy to the young at heart.

Susan Wittig Albert lives with her husband Bill on thirty-one acres in the Texas Hill Country near Austin, where they have cows, sheep, geese, dogs, and cats.

I like Debbie love the idea of Beatrix Potter as character in this book. I'm entering because I would like to read this book along with my grandson. I firmly believe that reading will become a habit for adults if they start out reading as children. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

My grandaughter who is in middle school has always had a fondness for Beatrix Potter. I think she would love to read this especially since Beatrix is a main character.
