ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Randy has been with Kleinfeld as the fashion director for the last year. He brought over fifteen years of bridal fashion and design experience when he joined Kleinfeld.
Randy is the star of TLC's Say Yes to the Dress. He is also star of Say Yes to the Dress: Big Bliss, Say Yes to the Dress: Randy Knows Best and Randy's Top Ten. Randy's day job is Fashion Director at Kleinfeld Bridal where he personally sees over 15,000 brides each year. He meets with and lectures to another 50,000 brides per year at wedding events around the country. Randy has appeared on Rachael Ray and has been featured in many magazines such as People, Us, Life and Style, OK, and InStyle.

Born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Randy has always had a passion for design and fashion, designing and sewing gowns from the time he was nine years old. Randy designed his own bridal line for many years and therefore has a practiced and perfected eye for embroideries, laces, beading and bustles. Most importantly, Randy's fashion sense and honesty enable him to truthfully advise the brides when making their wedding gown decision. He says that a bride's wedding gown is the most important dress she will ever wear, and he feels honored and privileged to work with brides and to help turn their bridal fantasies into realities.

MY THOUGHTS/REVIEW:
Randy Fenoli is the star of TLC’s “SAY YES TO THE DRESS” and has now written a gorgeous book called IT’S ALL ABOUT THE DRESS. Randy has spent years as a Fashion Director at the famous Kleinfeld Bridal Salon in New York City helping women find that “just right” gown for their special day. What is so wonderful is Randy also makes each woman feel so special. In his new book, he compiled all his experience and passes it along to the reader complete with lovely photographs and wonderful tips and tricks to help with that special dress.

Randy feels strongly that women who are shopping for that special dress need to feel empowered and so he gives so many ideas in his book that everyone can make their dream day come true. In the book, Randy goes step by step through choosing a gown. Hopefully, by having this knowledge, the anxiety a bride feels will lessen and make her a savvy shopper. With women from twenty to sixty, Randy only used real brides in his book in order to show how women can all be beautiful on their special day.

Some of the things Randy emphasizes are the kinds of fabrics and styles that work best on certain figures. His tips on how to have a successful bridal appointment are very important. Randy includes who should come to the appointment and believe it or not, it isn’t always the same with each bride. Instead, it varies according to the bride and the family/wedding situation. Of course, he also writes about budgets and price ranges and how not to get your hopes up for a dress you know you can’t afford. Leaving nobody out, Randy even has information for the bridal party and the ever important Mother of the Bride.

I am married over 30 years but with my Goddaughter getting married this June, I was thrilled to review this book and now pass it on to her. The information is invaluable but it is also a delightful and enjoyable read. I think it would make a wonderful coffee table book as well so buy a few for gifts for the holidays! And remember, IT’S ALL ABOUT THE DRESS!
