PANIC BUTTON
A Button Box Mystery
BY KYLIE LOGAN
ABOUT THE BOOK: Josie Giancola, owner of the Button Box shop, knows her
buttons. But when she comes into contact with a rare charm
string, she never imagines it will lead to murder...
Josie is approached at her shop to appraise a very rare
item—a complete charm string. In Victorian times,
girls strung buttons on long strings to make the charms.
Once the string reached 1,000 buttons—no two
alike—the legend was that the owner would meet her
beloved.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Kylie Logan is also known as Miranda Bliss and Casey Daniels. She has a degree in English, experience as a journalist and writing teacher, and lots of ideas for more Pepper Martin mysteries. When she's not writing, she's usually with her family and two dogs, Ernie, an adorable Airedale pup, and Oscar, a rescued Jack Russell who spends far too much time watching TV. Daniels enjoys knitting, gardening and of course, stomping through cemeteries in search of history, stories and inspiration.

My grandmother was a seamstress and she had large pickle jar full of buttons. When I read your review it reminded me of all the times as a child I would play with those buttons. Sounds like a good book so I'm entering my name.

Interesting idea.
Since I knit I know the charm of buttons and how important they are to a project or sweater.
I would love to follow this through and see what happens.

This is such a great series! Never heard of a charm string - intriguing - and neither my collection or any of my relatives would have reached 1000.

I used to string buttons when I was a child, but never heard them called charm strings. Perfect concept.
