SECOND HONEYMOON
SECOND HONEYMOON
BY JAMES PATTERSON
AND HOWARD ROUGHAN
AND HOWARD ROUGHAN
REMINDER ABOUT THE BOOK:
A walk down the aisle, a resort hotel, a drink on the beach...for these unlucky couples, the honeymoon's over.
A newlywed couple steps into the sauna in their deluxe honeymoon
suite--and never steps out again. When another couple is killed while
boarding their honeymoon flight to Rome, it becomes clear that someone
is targeting honeymooners, and it's anyone's guess which happy couple is
next on the list.
FBI Agent John O'Hara is deep into solving the case, while Special Agent Sarah Brubaker is hunting another ingenious serial killer, whose victims all have one chilling thing in common.
As wedding hysteria rises to a frightening new level, John and Sarah work ever more closely together in a frantic attempt to decipher the logic behind two rampages. SECOND HONEYMOON is James Patterson's most mesmerizing, most exciting, and most surprising thriller ever.

MY THOUGHTS/REVIEW:
Eight years ago James Patterson teamed up with Howard Roughan and created one unlucky but very likeable FBI agent named John O’Hara, in their collaboration titled HONEYMOON. Now in a long awaited sequel, SECOND HONEYMOON, readers will experience O’Hara in a fast-paced narrative that is filled with enough plot twists to keep readers glued to the pages of the trademark short chapters and seriously not wanting to put SECOND HONEYMOON down. The authors’ words have created such amazing mental images that readers become part of the story and find themselves just as frustrated and frightened as the characters themselves are.
O’Hara, dealing with his own problems since his wife was killed, gets suspended and even his counselor doesn’t seem to help. However, with the approval of his boss, O’Hara accepts an offer he can’t refuse from millionaire Warner Breslow whose son and new daughter-in-law have been murdered while on their honeymoon. With that, things quickly change gears as another honeymoon couple are murdered just as they board a flight to Italy for their honeymoon. Things are now urgent for O’Hara to find this killer but with very little to go on, or anyone to turn to.
Enter Sarah Brubaker, FBI special agent with an extremely baffling case of her own, where random murders across the country quickly take on signs of a serial killer. All the cases have puzzling clues that at first seem unconnected and yet one thing stands out alike about them…all the victims are named John O’Hara. When it is revealed that the President has a relative by the name of John O’Hara, Sarah takes on more pressure. Finally readers find Sarah and John obviously connecting and working together while both of their individual cases become more and more complex. In a clever bit of writing, readers will find themselves reading about someone in one chapter and then realizing in the next chapter that it wasn’t the person they thought they were reading about. I did several double takes until I got with the pattern but never was I able to guess where this delicious mystery was going until the very end.
With extremely cunning killers and perplexing murders, readers are treated to a top notch psychological thriller in SECOND HONEYMOON. When pieces of each puzzle begin to come together, the outwardly perplexing plot astonishingly begins to make sense. The way Patterson and Roughan cleverly merge the two cases will shock and surprise even the most gifted readers of this genre. Let’s hope that there won’t be so much time before we read another installment in this series that has now continued so well with SECOND HONEYMOON!

I think the statement on the cover, "What would you do if you face your wife's killer? Forgive ... or get revenge." I am now in a frame of mind that keeps me wondering ... I just hope I never have to answer that question in real life ... I would much rather hear the answer from James Patterson and Howard Roughan. Thanks for the opportunity.

Patterson is my fave author - I don't have this book yet and would bring it with me on our trip to listen to. I'm hoping this becomes a series like Alex Cross and Michael Bennett as well.
I love James Patterson. I can't wait to read or listen to this book. Please enter me in contest. I am a follower and email subscriber. Tore923@aol.com

I think the short chapters in most mysteries and thrillers are great. They make you want to read just one more!
Curious to see if there is a Third, Fourth and Fifth Honeymoon!
