SIDNEY SHELDON'S CHASING TOMORROW: A REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

GIVEAWAY ENDED
SIDNEY SHELDON’S
CHASING TOMORROW
BY TILLY BAGSHAWE

ABOUT THE BOOK:
#1 New York Times bestselling author Sidney Sheldon’s most popular and enduring heroine—Tracy Whitney of If Tomorrow Comes—returns in a sensational sequel full of passion, suspense, and breathtaking twists.

Tracy Whitney never thought she wanted to settle down. With her suave and handsome partner, Jeff Stevens, she’d been responsible for some of the world’s most astounding heists, relishing the danger and intensity of life on the wild side. But there is still one thing missing from Tracy’s perfect life: a baby.

At first “going straight” feels like a new adventure. But as the months pass and Tracy’s longed for pregnancy doesn’t happen, she finds herself yearning for the adrenaline rush of the old days.  When a mysterious and beautiful stranger enters their lives, Tracy and Jeff’s once unbreakable partnership is suddenly blown wide open. Jeff wakes one morning to find Tracy gone, vanished without a trace.

For more than a decade, a broken Jeff struggles to carry on knowing Tracy is out there somewhere. But the rest of the world believes Tracy Whitney is dead . . . until a series of murders leads a tenacious French detective to her doorstep. Eleven victims, in ten different cities, over nine years—all of the cities where Tracy pulled off some of her most brilliant capers. Someone is targeting her, manipulating a series of disturbing events and raising terrifying ghosts she thought were dead and buried.

Once again, this clever woman finds herself out on the edge, playing the odds in a desperate game of roulette. But this time, she’s got everything to lose—including the man she cannot forget.

Tomorrow has come at last. But it isn’t the future Tracy bargained for . .

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Tilly Bagshawe is the international bestselling author of nine previous novels.

A single mother at seventeen, Tilly won a place at Cambridge University and took her baby daughter with her. Now married to an American and a mother of four, Tilly and her family divide their time between the bright lights of Los Angeles and the peace and tranquility of a sleepy Cotswold village.

Before her first book, Adored, became an international smash hit, Tilly had a successful career in the City. Later, as a journalist, she contributed regularly to the Sunday Times, Daily Mail and Evening Standard before turning her hand to novels, following in the footsteps of her sister Louise. These days, whenever she's not writing or on a plane, Tilly's life mostly revolves around the school run, boy scouts and Peppa Pig.

SIDNEY SHELDON: A master storyteller, Sidney Sheldon garnered international praise and recognition the world over. The winner of an Oscar, a Tony, and an Edgar Allan Poe Award, Sheldon has over 200 television scripts, twenty-five major motion pictures, six Broadway plays, eighteen novels (which have sold over 300 million copies) and one memoir to his credit, ranking him as one of the world's most prolific writers. Sidney Sheldon passed away on January 30, 2007. His legacy in books lives on with author Tilly Bagshawe.

MY THOUGHTS/REVIEW:
In SIDNEY SHELDON’S CHASING TOMORROW author Tilly Bagshawe has once again given readers a page turner true to the form that so many of Sheldon’s fans always loved. Her excellent character development and the way she brings readers into the story makes for a pleasurable read. Yes, there are some twists and turns but the narrative overall is easy to follow and just plain fun. So often, of late, I have read wonderful books but had to work SO hard to get through them. It was nice to read CHASING TOMORROW and get enjoyment out of it without having to labor so much.

With Tracy Whitney returning from IF TOMORROW COMES, I was already familiar with the character and she brought with her as many thrills and as much excitement as before in this sequel. Mind you, you do not have to have read IF TOMORROW COMES to enjoy CHASING TOMORROW as it easily stands alone. It was quite a kick to see Tracy and her husband/former partner, Jeff, trying to turn over a new leaf and lead a normal life. They even decided to try and start a family.

However, when things don’t fall into place as planned, Tracy takes off and the real excitement does as well. Where has Tracy gone? Can she still be alive after all this time? Is she the one involved in a string of serial killings going on all over the world? Perhaps Tracy might possibly be the next one to be on the killer’s list. How Tracy falls into this major twist and what she does about it, will keep you turning pages and this light and quick read will entertain you and have you waiting for the next adventure with this character. Perhaps Tracy's tomorrow has finally come...but you will have to read CHASING TOMORROW to find out!
