"Star Trek: Countdown" is the official prequel to the smash-hit movie, outlining the history of Nero, the movie's villain (played by Eric Bana). Who is this mysterious Romulan, and how did he turn from hero to villain? Also featuring Captain Picard and many of the Next Generation stars, this is essential reading for "Star Trek" fans! JJ Abrams, the film's director, along with scriptwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have supervised the script by Tim Jones and Mike Johnson, illustrated by David Messina ("Angel"), to make the ultimate prequel for the ultimate reimagining of "Star Trek".

Star Trek is wonderful. I loved the original with William Shatner since I admire him and his talent. From his modest roots growing up in Montreal to Stratford, On. and now so famous. rojosho(at)hotmail(dot)com

The Tribbles were a favorite, but the episode where the ear bug crawled in and laid eggs kept me awake for months. I used to stick cotton in my ears (hey, I was a kid)to keep them out.

Hi and Happy Tuesday -- and boy would I ever love to win this! :) I think out of the three I'm most interested at the moment the comic based on the latest movie -- I've heard a bit of the story before the movie, but I never got it myself.

And at the site, well, earlier I voted that I watch an episode or movie of Trek a couple times a month. :)

And my favorite series and characters are --

TOS - Kirk
TNG - Riker
DS9 - Bashir

and yes, I loved DS9, thank you very much. :) I just could not get into Voyager and I tried really hard to get into Enterprise, but couldn't do it. As for movie like order --

7, 6, 11, 5, 4, 10, 8, 2, 1, 3, 9 -- yes, I'm one of few that absolutely loved Generations, and The Final Frontier. Not particularly a fan of First Contact, but it did grow on me over the years (probably because TNG has been off the air for so long! LOL) And did love the newest movie, but tough to put in my list up there, since I kind of thing of that as a separate piece of the universe. But did try it anyway. :)

Let me preface this giveaway by saying....I AM A TREKKIE and proud of it! I religiously watched the original Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager and have seen all the movies! The item I'd most like to win is the graphic novel.

Well, I was a teenager when Star Trek first appeared on TV and fell in love with Captain Kirk. He was so manly, gorgeous and incredibly sexy! And then as an older adult along comes Jean-Luc who is one of the sexiest bald-headed men I have ever seen. Love a man in uniform! :-)

Star Trek is so amazingly awesome. And I have to say, the CD of all the complete comic book collection sounds amazingly awesome. I am in Nerd awe!

Something interesting at startrek.com. Well, they've changed it so much over the years it's hard to keep up, but I have to say I've always loved the Database. Lookin' at the 'official' bios of Sisko, Picard, Wes Crusher (who never gets enough love, he was supposed to be us people, give him some love... :))

daniexj(at)gmail(dot)com

Danie said...

Favorite character. That's hard. I really liked all the TNG characters a lot, but they sorta equal each other out. I think the one that comes out on top is Jadzia Dax, she could kick even Worf's butt, that's pretty awesome.

daniexj(at)gmail(dot)com

And as a total aside, you have Margaret Maron 'Christmas Mourning' on your Shelfari (I'm not on Shelfari, but Goodreads and LT) Margaret Maron rules even more than Star Trek (does that loose me an entry j/k ;))
