THE SUPREME MACARONI COMPANY by ADRIANA TRIGIANI: A PREVIEW

THE SUPREME MACARONI COMPANY
BY ADRIANA TRIGIANI

ABOUT THE BOOK:
In The Supreme Macaroni Company, Adriana Trigiani transports readers from the cobblestone streets of Greenwich Village to lush New Orleans to Italy and back again while exploring the tricky dynamics between Old World craftsmanship and New World ambition, all amid a passionate love affair that fuels one woman's determination to have it all.

For over a hundred years, the Angelini Shoe Company in Greenwich Village has relied on the leather produced by Vechiarelli & Son in Tuscany. This ancient business partnership provides the twist of fate for Valentine Roncalli, the schoolteacher turned shoemaker, to fall in love with Gianluca Vechiarelli, a tanner with a complex past . . . and a secret.

But after the wedding celebrations are over, Valentine wakes up to the hard reality of juggling the demands of a new business and the needs of her new family. Confronted with painful choices, Valentine remembers the wise words that inspired her in the early days of her beloved Angelini Shoe Company: "A person who can build a pair of shoes can do just about anything." Now the proud, passionate Valentine is going to fight for everything she wants and savor all she deserves—the bitter and the sweet of life itself.

Romantic and poignant, told with humor and warmth, and bursting with a cast of endearing characters, The Supreme Macaroni Company is a sumptuous feast of delights: an unforgettable narrative about family, work, romance, and the unexpected turns of life and fate.

PRAISE FOR THE SUPREME MACARONI COMPANY:
“Superb. Trigiani’s ability to bring the large, warm, enveloping--if somewhat dysfunctional--family to life will keep any reader engrossed and entertained.”
— Publishers Weekly  “Val’s eccentric family keeps the book going at a quick pace. . . . Recommended for all Trigiani fans and those who’ve enjoyed a good cookie table (an Italian tradition commonly seen at weddings in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia)."— Library Journal

MY THOUGHTS ON THE SUPREME MACARONI COMPANY:
I am a huge fan of Adriana Trigiani for many reasons. First is because I adore her books. I have just started THE SUPREME MACARONI COMPANY as I didn't have time to read it when it first came to me but I like it already. I have read and reviewed many of her books. The second reason I am a fan is because Adriana is a down to earth, kind and fun lady. When I first started reviewing, we somehow connected and she has always been so good to me. Even as her star climbed and fame exploded, she has remained that same good hearted, delightfully friendly person. I hope that many of you have also enjoyed her books and if you haven't that you will read some of them as I am sure you also will like her work. I am thinking it would be such a good prize to give away a bundle of her books but not sure if I can swing it...but keep your eyes open as one can never tell. Meanwhile, if you see her work anywhere, snatch it up...you won't be sorry!

I only have The Shoemaker's Wife on my TBR shelves but I have heard so much from you and I am dying to start reading it. Infortunately have so many books ahead of that one for reviews that it would probably be a long time. The reasons that you like her books are the same that ones that I crave in books. So really looking forward to all of her books.
