Thanks to Lauren and the folks at Simon and Schuster, I received this audio book because I had requested it. I had heard so much about it but not being a fan of war stories, thought I wouldn't like it. Was I wrong! ALL THE LIGHT WE CANNOT SEE turned out to be my favorite book this year. What a beautifully written story! It was no surprise when Anthony Doerr won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for this book. How Doerr blended a thrilling story that also was filled with joy at the same time is quite amazing. The two main characters are so vividly written and imagined that I hated to see this end. Also, the audio narration by Zach Appelman added so much to the enjoyment. I liked how there were short chapters that alternated between the two characters and I could literally not stop listening!
