Now the Quinns are looking forward to celebrating Genevieve's baptism, welcoming Isabelle to the family, and enjoying the cheer of Nantucket's traditional Christmas Stroll. But just when a peaceful family gathering seems within reach, Kelley's estranged second wife, Mitzi, shows up on the island after souring on her relationship with the inn's former Santa Claus. Soon Kelley isn't the only Quinn entertaining a surprise guest from Christmases past as lovers old and new gather beneath the mistletoe. Elin Hilderbrand does her best writing on the beaches of Nantucket, as well as on the charming streets of Beacon Hill in Boston. She has three magical children who beg her not to sing along to the radio or dance in public. Winter Stroll is her sixteenth novel.

MY THOUGHTS/REVIEW:

Erin Hilderbrand sequel to WINTER STREET is something you will want to be sure is in your stocking this year. In this addition to the "Winter Street Series", WINTER STROLL, the Christmas spirit is alive and well on Nantucket where readers find Winter Street Inn owner Kelley Quinn and his family busily preparing for the holiday season. An update on all the family members makes WINTER STROLL an old fashioned holiday treat as readers find out what has happened in the lives of Kelley's grown children. Patrick, Bart, Ava, Kevin all are part of the characters that make Hilderbrand's novel charming as well as interesting. This is not a goodie-two-shoes family but rather one with real problems as well as real familial love. Kelley's first wife, Margaret, is there as well as second wife Mitzy...should be called "Ditsy"... who shows up with her own brand of trouble. As in all families, there are problems that must be worked through, but the narrative leads readers on a character driven stroll that has us looking forward to the next story in this series. When push comes to shove, the family bands together as a unified group and their love for each other has them facing life's challenges as one.
