ABOUT THE AUDIO BOOK:
An audacious jewel heist. A murdered actress. A killer case for NYPD Red.
In a city where crime never sleeps, NYPD Red is the elite task force called in only when a case involves the rich, famous, and connected. Detective Zach Jordan and his partner, Kylie MacDonald—the woman who broke his heart at the police academy—are the best of the best, brilliant and tireless investigators who will stop at nothing to catch a criminal, even if it means antagonizing the same high-flying citizens they're supposed to be helping.
When a glitzy movie premiere is the scene of a shocking murder and high-stakes robbery, NYPD Red gets the call. Traversing the city's highs and lows, from celebrity penthouses to the depths of Manhattan's criminal underworld, Zach and Kylie have to find a cold-blooded killer—before he strikes again.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
JAMES PATTERSON has had more New York Times bestsellers than any other writer, ever, according to Guinness World Records. Since his first novel won the Edgar Award in 1977 James Patterson's books have sold more than 300 million copies. He is the author of the Alex Cross novels, the most popular detective series of the past twenty-five years, including Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider. He writes full-time and lives in Florida with his family.
MARSHALL KARP was in advertising, before collaborating with best selling author James Patterson, where the punishment for creating award-winning TV campaigns is to put the writer in charge of an entire department and tell him to stop writing ads. Trapped in a corner office, Karp wrote a play, "Squabbles," which attracted the attention of network executives. He created "Everything's Relative," a CBS comedy starring Jason Alexander, moved to LA to become writer/producer for the NBC hit, "Amen," then served as writer/co-executive producer for ABC's "Baby Talk" and several other long forgotten TV series. A feature film, "Just Looking," directed by Jason Alexander, was released in 2000. Karp returned to NY, and in 2006 he fulfilled a long-time fantasy by killing many of the people he worked with in Hollywood. His first novel, "The Rabbit Factory," set in a Disneyesque studio, introduces LAPD Detectives Mike Lomax and Terry Biggs. Three more Lomax and Biggs mysteries followed ("Bloodthirsty," "Flipping Out," and "Cut, Paste, Kill"). In 2011 he coauthored the #1 NY Times bestseller "Kill Me If You Can" with James Patterson, and then followed the NYPD series.

I didn't realize that there were awards for readers of audible books---but after listening to some really good ones and some really bad ones, it's nice to know that the person reading this one has received an award for some of his reading. That makes me want to win this book.

I love that this is about an elite group of the NYPD and that the narrator is wonderful. Sometimes you can have a wonderful story but the narrator spoils it. Excited about this one,

Murder mysteries and jewel heists in NYC are always exciting to read. Especially when written by James Patterson and Marshall Karp.
