Zadie Smith was born in Northwest London in 1975 and still lives in the area. She is the author of White Teeth, The Autograph Man, On Beauty, Changing My Mind, and NW.

I like the comment about ever once a while a novel is written that reminds us why we need them. This one sounds like a worth while listen. GREAT post!!!
This sounds like a great one to me. What caught me is that it goes to West Africa. I have several friends from different countries there. Also I love dance! I took a dance class in one dance from Benin and ended up going on tour with the dance troupe. Good memories. Our group leaders were from Benin but we had dancers from Europe, USA, Australia, South America, One of the best group of experiences in my life.
