BY SARAH LOTZ
ABOUT THE AUDIO BOOK:
The chilling follow-up to The Three, Sarah Lotz's "hard to put down and vastly entertaining" debut (Stephen King). Hundreds of pleasure-seekers stream aboard The Beautiful Dreamer cruise ship for five days of cut-price fun in the Caribbean sun. On the fourth day, disaster strikes: smoke roils out of the engine room, and the ship is stranded in the Gulf of Mexico. Soon supplies run low, a virus plagues the ship, and there are whispered rumors that the cabins on the lower decks are haunted by shadowy figures. Irritation escalates to panic, the crew loses control, factions form, and violent chaos erupts among the survivors.
When, at last, the ship is spotted drifting off the coast of Key West, the world's press reports it empty. But the gloomy headlines may be covering up an even more disturbing reality.
DAY FOUR is a heart-racing tale from "a ferociously imaginative storyteller."
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Her recent solo novel, The Three, was published in the U.K by Hodder in May 2014 and by Little, Brown in the U.S. This newest novel, DAY FOUR, is out now. Sarah lives in Cape Town with her family and other animals.

MY THOUGHTS:
Thanks to Mitch and the good folks at Hachette Book Group I received a copy of DAY FOUR after reading about it for quite a while before it was ready to come out. All I could think about is the last couple of cruises we had taken with my son and his family. I remember whenever I read about a ship having a problem, I always imagined how I would handle it being a nervous traveler at times myself. So I am not sure I should, but I can't wait to get started on DAY FOUR! I am anxious to hear about how the cruise went from wonderful to who knows what? If you like this kind of thriller, DAY FOUR is supposed to meet all the criteria to keep you turning pages...and perhaps not ever booking a cruise again.

I have never been on a overnight cruise but I love medical thrillers and my husband does too. So it should be a lot of fun!
So, I read The Three and was only so-so about it. I later learned it was supposed to be something in the horror genre? The Four, with its' cruise, looks promising. Anytime you're stuck in the 'locked room' kind of trop usually makes for a good story.
Trope.
Bingo, it you're stopping by, I wanted to remember to tell you that the little bundle of cuteness (a Cavalier?) that has replaced the dachshund pic is adorable.
You guys take care.
